TW200 hits a 4 in Wolverhampton!
Wolverhampton Council has been making strenuous efforts to grow the number of wheelchair accessible taxis in its fleet in recent months. From just around 100 mostly older taxis it has allowed deregulation of the number of taxis provided they are wheelchair accessible.
And the TW200 taxi which has full European Type Approval has been making a striking impact with local cab drivers. Says Azhar Sharif, TW Automotive’s Regional Sales Manager, “ Most of the cabs in Wolverhampton were more traditional type cabs, so it was very forward thinking of the Council to allow the new style wheelchair accessible cabs on. The TW200 has really hit it home to drivers that they can have more comfort, extra legroom, excellent fuel economy and can take 7 passengers!”
One group of Wolverhampton taxi drivers, led by Mohammed Q Rizwan, wanted to buy four new cabs, taking up the Council’s offer of new plates. Mr Rizwan and his colleagues carefully looked at all the options and there were quite a few cabs to choose from. But it was the TW200 that came out way above the others. “We very much liked the build quality of the TW200, it is a really well put together cab and superbly finished inside. What’s more the TW200 has more ‘extras’ as standard than almost any other cab. You get air conditioning, reversing sensors, a flip up front passenger seat, an electric step and fog lamps – all as standard! There just wasn’t another cab to match the TW200’s specification as well as the quality. We also liked the service and support we get from the TW team. Azhar gave us all the attention and help we needed to make the right decision. We just know we have made the best decision for us and our customers!”
