Midlands Welcomes first New E7

Mike Kimberley from Tamworth, near Birmingham, showed he’s quick off the mark when he became the UK’s first owner of the new-model Peugeot E7 hackney taxi.

Having driven a variety of vehicles during his fifteen years as a cabbie Mike’s pretty much seen it all and isn’t short of an opinion or two when it comes to vehicle quality.

Superior
Mike explained: “You name it and I’ve probably driven it at some stage but nothing compares to the new E7.”

Mike continued:  “The driver position is fantastic in terms of comfort and visibility. Let’s face it, when you’re sitting at the wheel for eight hours at a time you need plenty of legroom and you certainly get that with the new E7.”

Mike added: “The drive really is different class.  When I first had a test-drive in the new E7 I expected it to be good but I honestly can’t praise it enough.  It’s so smooth when you’re out on the road and you always know there’s plenty of power there when you need it.”

Comfort
Mike is clearly delighted with his new E7 but he’s not the only one.

“The reaction I’ve had from my regular passengers has been overwhelming.  Customers liked my last E7 but think the latest model is in a different league.”

Mike continued: “I’m always really busy at the weekend with taking groups into town and the feedback I’ve had already has been fantastic.

“One tall bloke commented on how he likes the new rear seat which means he can see out the window more easily.  Others have commented that it has to be the most

comfortable taxi they’ve been in, with plenty of space for everyone.

Cab Direct General Manager Peter Facenna commented:  “We’re delighted that Mike is so pleased with his New E7.

Development
“The intensive development programme we undertook with Peugeot to produce the new vehicle has given us a product that really is second to none in terms of quality, design and value for money.”

Peter continued:  “Since its launch last month we’ve had an amazingly positive response to the new model and it’s great to see the first New E7s out on the road earning money for their owners.  We already have a full order book and will be further expanding production capacity to cope with the unprecedented demand for our flagship purpose-built taxi.”
